The spirit of burning is purifying God’s house as evidenced by the judgment that has begun in His Church. Isaiah 4:3-6 reveals, “And it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem. 4 When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, 5 then the LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. 6 And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.
How many ministers and ministries have you seen exposed in the last few years? Why just two days ago I saw where Chris Reed just stepped down from Morningstar. But something I want you to understand is that God is visiting His church with a spirit of judgment and burning. Why the investigative page of the Roys Report reveals God is moving His purifying fire throughout the body of Christ; from mainline denominations to the cutting edge apostolic/prophetic. It is not to harm but rather to purify. The only thing burned in the fire is the bonds, and if King David is any example at all, we have a picture of what Galatians 6:1 encourages us to do. The key is humility.
Here’s the truth, we are in a culture war and in war there is chaos and confusion. But we need to be a disciplined and good soldier of Jesus Christ and keep our eye on our area of responsibility. Here is the key to navigating through challenging times. Keep your focus on Christ. Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
