Jesus warned His disciples:
“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
—Matthew 24:24, NKJV
This warning is not merely an abstract description of some distant future. The pattern Jesus described is already visible wherever a minister claims a special anointing, gathers people around himself, and begins assuming a role that belongs exclusively to Jesus Christ.
A recent Minor Prophets video examining the Swahili teachings of GeorDavie presents what I believe is a sobering modern example.
The central question is not whether a minister can draw a crowd, perform signs, use the name of Jesus or speak in spiritual language. Jesus warned that deception would come clothed in those very things.
The question is: What Jesus is being presented, what gospel is being preached, and who is placed between God and His people?
A “Different Gospel” Presented as New Revelation
Beginning around the nine-minute mark, the Minor Prophets video presents translated excerpts in which GeorDavie appears to teach that people may be cleansed and sanctified through the word spoken by the prophet.
The teaching then reportedly distinguishes between the Bible and the present word of a specially anointed prophet. In another excerpt, repentance and confession are characterized as an older system, while the prophet announces a new spiritual curriculum in which a person can rejoice once the prophet declares, “I have wiped away all your sins.”
If the translations accurately represent his teaching in context, this is not a minor doctrinal disagreement. It is a different gospel. It is heresy and any who practice this, put themselves under a curse.
The apostle Paul issued one of Scripture’s strongest warnings concerning anyone who changes the gospel:
“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.”
—Galatians 1:6–9, NKJV
Paul did not make an exception for impressive ministers, apostles, prophets or even angels. No title, supernatural manifestation, claimed visitation or special anointing gives anyone authority to rewrite the gospel.
The gospel does not change because a prophet says the curriculum has changed. This is the prophet, this is the altar, this is the gospel and anointing Krick is associated with. If you’ve deceived by this gospel, if you have had itching ears, and been seduced by this spirit, I pray you wake up and repent quickly, lest you find yourself up a Krick without a paddle.
There Is Only One Mediator
Scripture declares:
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.”
—1 Timothy 2:5, NKJV
Jesus is not one mediator among several. He is the one Mediator.
We are forgiven through His blood. We are justified by faith in Him. We are sanctified by the truth and by the work of the Holy Spirit. We have access to the Father through Christ—not through attachment to a particular prophet, spiritual father, apostolic house or ministry network.
A true minister proclaims what Jesus has accomplished. He does not insert himself into Christ’s place.
A true prophet points people toward Jesus. He does not make himself the indispensable channel through whom people must know Jesus, receive forgiveness or have their prayers heard.
A true apostle lays a foundation that exalts Christ. He does not create dependency upon his personality, anointing or spiritual lineage.
When a minister’s word is presented as the means by which sins are removed, sanctification is received or access to God is secured, that minister has moved beyond biblical spiritual authority. He has begun occupying territory that belongs to Jesus alone.

This short video below are several cuts from other videos so that you can hear GeorDavie and Krick in their own words and see their actions. 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 says, “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.”
So, I encourage you, judge the words and actions by comparing them to God’s word. You decide.
A False Christ Does Not Always Say, “I Am Jesus”
The word Christ means “Anointed One” or “Messiah.”
A false christ may not always stand before a crowd and literally announce, “I am Jesus.” The deception can be more subtle.
A person can present himself as the uniquely anointed one for his generation. He can claim that his words possess an authority unavailable to other believers. He can become a necessary mediator between God and the people. Followers may then be taught that they need his spiritual covering, his house, his declaration or his anointing to receive what Christ has already made available to His people.
That is why the pattern shown in this video is so serious.
The concern becomes even greater when the video presents Katherine Krick—who identifies GeorDavie as her spiritual father—saying that people will not know the real Jesus unless they know him.
Whatever language of honor, submission or spiritual fatherhood is used, no servant of God should become the gateway through which people must pass to reach Jesus.
Jesus said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
—John 14:6, NKJV
The door is Jesus. The mediator is Jesus. The Savior is Jesus. The Head of the Church is Jesus.
True Servants Refuse Misplaced Devotion
Acts 10 provides a striking contrast. When Cornelius fell at Peter’s feet, Peter immediately lifted him up and said, “Stand up; I myself am also a man.”
Peter was a genuine apostle. He carried real authority and had been sent by God. Yet he refused to receive the kind of devotion that belonged to God.
True spiritual authority does not draw worship toward itself. It redirects honor to Jesus.
John the Baptist expressed the heart of a true messenger when he said, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).
When the personality, words, anointing or reputation of a minister continually increases while direct dependence upon Christ decreases, something is profoundly wrong.
This Concern Did Not Begin Yesterday
More than two years ago, Brenda and I attended a local meeting involving Katherine Krick. We left with serious concerns about the spirit and the anointing operating through that ministry. It was a seductive spirit.
Since then, that original discernment by the spirit (1 John 4:6, 1 Corinthians 12:10), additional evidence, actions and words have have emerged which confirm what we both discerned by the spirit. Hebrews 5:12-14 describes how we are to have our senses exercised to discern both good and evil and in John 12:48, Matthew 12:37, and James 2:24 you’ll discover what God will use to judge us. Our own words and actions will be compared to the Word of God.
So far, Brenda’s track record for discerning of spirits has never, ever been wrong. It’s been operational since the late 80’s when she discerned the elders made a big mistake ordaining a certain youth pastor. Within less than two years, his abuse of authority and sexual sin were revealed.
In my recent Apostolic Perspectives teaching, “Test the Fruit: Discerning True and False Apostles and Prophets,” I examined the biblical responsibility to test those who claim apostolic and prophetic authority.
That message was not a call to cynicism, gossip or personal attack. It was a call to obedience.
Scripture tells us:
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God.”
—1 John 4:1, NKJV
The latest Minor Prophets video does not create these concerns. It supplies additional words and actions that must be placed beside Scripture and prayerfully examined. You decide.
Because the source clips are in Swahili and were translated for an English-speaking audience, viewers should examine the material carefully and welcome verification by fluent Swahili speakers. But translation should not be used as an excuse to ignore the plainly presented doctrinal issues.
Test the Message, the Messenger and the Fruit
Matthew 24:24 is unfolding wherever signs, titles and claims of special anointing are used to lead people away from the sufficiency and supremacy of Jesus Christ.
The elect are not protected from deception merely because they are sincere. They are protected as they remain grounded in Christ, led by the Holy Spirit and anchored in the written Word of God.
We must ask:

Does this teaching agree with the gospel delivered by Christ and His apostles?

Does it preserve Jesus as the only Mediator?

Does it lead believers into greater dependence upon Christ or dependence upon a minister?

Does the messenger refuse misplaced devotion or encourage it?

Is forgiveness grounded in Christ’s finished work or in a prophet’s declaration?

Is Scripture treated as the final authority, or is it displaced by a supposedly newer revelation?
No claimed anointing can excuse another gospel.
No miracle can validate a false mediator.
No apostolic or prophetic title places a person beyond biblical examination.
A Warning Motivated by Love
This warning is not an invitation to threaten, mock or harass anyone. We should pray for repentance, restoration and truth to prevail. We/I must also guard the flock and warn believers when public teaching appears to contradict the gospel.
Love does not rejoice in iniquity. Love rejoices in the truth.
I encourage every reader to watch the relevant portion of the Minor Prophets video with an open Bible. Listen carefully, consider the translated context and compare everything with Galatians 1:6–9, 1 Timothy 2:5, John 14:6, Acts 10:25–26, Acts 14:12-14 and Matthew 24:24.
Do not be impressed by titles. Do not be seduced by signs.
Do not surrender your access to Christ to any supposed apostle, prophet or spiritual father.
There is one Savior, one Mediator and one true Christ.
His name is Jesus.
This thing we see GeorDavie and Krick is presenting, is a cult. I repeat. this is a cult and a modern example of a false prophet and anointing. Their actions and words have put themselves under a curse (Galatians 1:9). I leave with this.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Do you want to share in their works? The lust for power and itching ears have deceived many. I pray for the fear of the LORD and the love of Christ return to His Church as the veil of deception is lifted.
