We wanted to do something special for our orphanage and for the refugees we care for in Burma this Christmas. This is a picture with the new clothes they got last year. We’ve done this for several years now.
We’ve not seen them in person since 2019 and all I can say is, they have grown so much. It’s a beautiful thing and a privilege to ally with, partner with, and be a family to the persecuted church. I might add, it is the persecuted Church that has also collaborated with us since 2006.
If you saw my video from 10 years ago, you’ll understand why I have the conviction that they are facing a similar sinister demonic spirit that is at work in and through Gaza today in Israel. I’ll give you a hint. Guess where the demon God Dagon was located? Guess where the Dagon Pogoda is located today? Click here for that report.
As you will recall, besides the 25 souls we care for as part of the orphanage, we also help with John Mark’s extended family. These are family members who were made refugees when they bombed our house of prayer two years ago. We serve about 60 people in total each month.
I would add that this orphanage was birthed out of the house of prayer we helped birth in 2016. The amount that KLI sends each month has increased by almost 10x since we began helping them in 2017. The civil war has sparked inflation and caused much suffering. John Mark, Sophia, and His family are doing a marvelous work providing a home. They are not treated like orphans but rather as members of their family.
That my friends, is a kingdom attitude and it is a privilege to ally with them. Why? Because their goal is to train and equip these kids to be raised up a reformers in the 7 spheres of society. So I do not see our efforts here as an act of mercy, but rather an expression of a divine partnership with our Heavenly Father’s plan. These are on the cutting edge in this spiritual war.
Let’s use Christmas as an opportunity to help John Mark and his family, provide them with some new clothes for a new year and a special meal as they celebrate Christmas too.
I also want to remind you to stir up your pure mind in the way of remembrance with the following scriptures.
When you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto the LORD!
Matthew 25:31-43
1 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ Matthew 25:44-46
44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Pure Religion
James 1:27
27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Be Wise and Lay Up for Yourselves a Good Foundation for the Time to Come
1 Timothy 6:17-19
7 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
God Loves a Cheerful Giver – So Pray and Ask our Father and Move out of His Love
2 Corinthians 9:6-10 6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:
“He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever.”
10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,
