In the last 10 years we’ve seen an exponential growth in the culture war. Some would characterize it as Left against Right, or Democrat against Republican. Others would focus on race, others on economic disparity and still others would focus on religion.
What you have to realize is that these are all expressions of a spiritual war that spilled out on to earth. The cultural war we see being manifested is actually a clash of ideas.
It’s a war over truth. It’s a war in the mind. It’s a war over the souls of men and women and their eternal destiny in heaven or in hell.
The Bible is like the manufacturer’s operational manual for life with a warranty. If you understand the Bible, you’ll understand how life works.
With that in mind, let me show you why it seems like people have lost their mind. IT IS BECAUSE ….. THEY DID! Jesus said so and you are going be amazed as to why!

Origins of the Spiritual War that Spilled Out on to Earth
Satan: The Bible says in Revelation 12:7-9, 12 & 17
Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world– he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”
Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.
People: The Bible says in James 4:1-4
What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Leads to Lawlessness: The Bible says in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11
The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,
The Next Scripture Reveals The Fruit of Lawlessness: Jesus says in Matthew 24:12,
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
What does love grow cold mean in the Greek? Why Tim, I’m glad you asked.
It come from the Greek word PSYCHO! That’s right! It is the root of the word psychotic. In the Greek it means:
To breath on something so as to cool it. Like love that wanes.
So lawlessness causes people to go psycho. Dictionary.com says this word means:

There are two things you can do? Join with us in praying for the veil to be lifted off their eyes like Paul identified in 2 Corinthians 3.
Next, you can be one willing to do what it says in Ephesians 4:16 and that is to “speak the truth in love” for “how shall they hear without a preacher (Romans 10:14)?

So What Can You Do?
