The great escape of our orphans & ministers as chronicled by John Mark and narrated by Tim. The trip was truly miraculous and God clearly intervened as 26 lives were saved. I want to commend everyone who is part of the KLI Family, Tribe or Fellow Workers and the friends of KLI who prayed and contributed to this miracle.
Yes, it was a miracle. As you listen to John Mark’s testimony you will discover that other vehicles who left with them, did not make it. Some where caught and others died. They made it out with little more than the clothes on their back. But they are so grateful and you’ll get to witness excerpts of their journey, see their first meal in freedom and see the place God has provided for them.
They face many challenges still, yet they are so grateful. Discover how you can partner with this unfolding saga that gives glory to God.
26 Lives Were Saved
Twenty six lives were saved. Each of you who prayed and gave, played a part.
In the YouTube I’ll share with you the immediate aide they need. Right now they, well, it is like they are camping out. A kind soul offered them to stay on part of their farm. The first room they’ve occupied was previously occupied by cement bags. They have to build a kitchen, bedrooms, furniture etc…. but praise God, they are safe and trusting God to meet all their need.
In the video I’ll share how challenging it will be for them in India as their status is that of a refugee. They basically have no rights. But praise God, they found some schools to send the children to.
Financial Goals
We have raised enough monies to pay the drivers who helped them escape. Now they need, we need, $6000. This will help them with the initial remodel, settling in, a kitchen, running power to their rooms and getting warm clothes for the children. There are a total of 20 children now, John Mark, Sophia, some relatives and teachers or staff who helped with the orphans.
We will use part of those monies to send two of our ministers from the India Prayer League to help and minister to them right away. Later this year, Brenda and I hope to visit them and discuss longer term plans.
Each month, they need $2302 to cover rent, food, transportation and schooling. As I recall I believe we have about 1/3rd of that amount covered each month so we are looking to raise another $1600 monthly. I’d encourage you to prayerfully consider if it would please our heavenly Father to sow into and partner with this noble work.
