Orphans & their team showing the beaded bracelet they turned into an evangelism tool.
We recently returned from Myanmar and shared the amazing history making testimonies that is being produced through the praying Church and (name removed for security 2021) Prayer Center. They had a vision for this prayer center for over 20 years. It was not until I trained a minister who helped them employ ORT/1Church1Day that they were actually able to realize this vision. It’s now impacting the 7 mountains of culture right now at a local and even a national level and this article in Our Mission Report and Seeking Fruit that Abounds to Your Account explains what I mean.
John Mark is the minister I’ve mentored like a son in the Lord. We taught him to pray and obey and I began mentoring him in 2006. After he’d help establish (named removed for security 2021) Prayer Center and taken 1Church1Day through Myanmar and even to the underground Church in Indonesia God spoke to him about the orphans.
So in 2016 the (name removed for security – 2021) orphage was established. The goal, reach out to the orphans and prepare the next generation to transform their nation.
Here’s some pictures and a video or two below from our visit just last month. They are so precious but you can see, the all sleep in one room. Boys and girls! It’s all they have and now, we have a few who are becoming teenagers.
They desperately need a boys dorm. They just need a temporary dorm and they only need $2700. So far we’ve been able to sow $1700. We only need to raise another $1000 to finish this marvelous project.
James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
We only need $1000 more to finish this noble work!
In this 80 second video below John Mark presents their current sleeping arrangement (one room) and their need for a boys dorm. They are so marvelous. Recognize that below this floor is their kitchen, living room, school room, dining area… In other words, it is a big open room that they maximize their use.
They’ve provided a home to the fatherless and they are equipping them with kingdom vision. It’s my hope you’d be led to partner with us in this noble project.
The long range goal is for a home on a larger property which they can teach skills and farming with a goal of becoming self sustaining. They’ve already begun to teach sewing. They estimate that property will cost about $35,000.
