The Church in Eugene Oregon Celebrates Historic 10th Year of 1Church1Day. It was marked by thunder lightning and earthquakes at the start in 2015 and was later followed by real transformation.
More than 10 years ago Steve Buss of One Hope choose to add the 1Church1Day strategy to their network. I distinctly remember the drive down to see them and as we entered Lane County there was thunder and lightning accompanying us as we entered Eugene. As I recall, Steve spent 9 months prepping for their Kick Off event which included 500 people from 30+ churches. It was marked by the supernatural too.
I just received their newsletter wherein they are celebrating this historic event. Here’s a few screenshots from their newsletter and website celebrating this momentous time which made church history.
I also have to add, this is the first I’ve seen any celebrate a 10 year anniversary of this strategy. But I have had for many years leaders from churches in a variety of nations reporting how their church or small network had continued with Operation Rolling Thunder (ORT) or One Church One Day (1Church1Day) for more than 10 years.
I’m grateful the strategy Christ put within our hands to steward and to deploy was able to serve our Father’s purpose in which Brenda and I first pioneered this concept from 1992-1994. That’s right, the vision, prayer and first test was done in the sister city of Springfield Oregon in 1994. It was our first taste of real transformation and what was possible if the body of Christ just united to pray with a view to glorifying our Lord Jesus Christ and seeing His will done and His house of prayer for all nations! To God be the glory!
