Charting your course in the midst of stormy cultural seas sets the stage for KLI’s leadership summit this year. It’s time to recalibrate and make sure our moral compasses are corrected for the deviation introduced through the magnetism of the world.
Why? Because judgment has begun in the house of the LORD. There is a purifying fire sweeping the church from the most Evangelical part of the church all the way over to the Apostolic/Prophetic stream as well as everything in between.
Two summits ago I made one of my first apostolic decrees. I charged our ministers before the LORD that it was our sacred duty to ensure the altars we minister at were pure and holy. That means no manipulation, no greed, no habitual sin and no poor stewardship.
Apparently that apostolic decree was in preparation for the fire God sent to purify the altars and those who minister at the altar. This is actually a very good thing as it should instill the fear of the LORD.
What follows is a church with leaders like Peter, Paul, Barnabas and Silas who can deal with the sin in the church (ie. Annanias and Sapharias – Acts 5) and the demonic opposition found in government (ie. Herod eaten up with worms, Acts 12:21-25 after Paul and Barnabas), or the false prophets/sorcery in culture who sought to sway government (ie. Elymas the sorcerer struck blind in Acts 13:7-12). My point is, if it begins in the Church, where will it end? I submit to you, with the fear of the LORD in society.
“For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God (1 Peter 4:17)?” So this should encourage us.
