Archaeologist Joel Kramer from Expedition Bible uses a solar eclipse and ancient Nineveh to identify Old Testament dates. Brenda found this fascinating video just four days ago. In this short video you’ll discover how this archeologist used the April 8th solar eclipse to frame their discovery of an exact date in the Old Testament. Once you know one date you can connect the Gregorian calendar with the Hebraic calendar. They selected 1 Kings 6:1 to begin. It says:
1 Kings 6:1
1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
Their work on this task led them to Mosul Iraq. That is the location of ancient Nineveh. Join Joel as he travels to Iraq to explain how an ancient cuneiform tablet dug up from the library of the Assyrian king, Ashurbanipal, in Nineveh, unlocked the dating system for the Old Testament.
This sparked my interest due to it’s connection with the recent sign and wonder our LORD gave the USA in April.
