We are so grateful to receive this update on our orphanage. Every month their ability to communicate is hindered as the junta shuts power and communications off and on. I’m thrilled to be able to share with you a great report in the midst of a horrible situation. Our minister John Mark sent:
Dear beloved Tim,
Greetings in Jesus’ name. I hope that you are fine and the ministry of the Lord with you is blessed by God’s grace.
This is to confirm that we have received your love blessings for our ministry.
Praise the Lord, we are protected and safe by the Lord’s protection through your prayers. Everyday our lives are threatened by war and really terrified by the airstrike and bombardment.
Here I sent you some photos that is our recent activities of Bible camp for the orphans. Thank God, they are so improved in their relationship with God. We bless you everyday in our prayers. please continue to pray for us.
Please extend our thanks and prayers to all generous donors and prayer partners.
We love you.
John Mark
Wow! They’ve grown so much since we last saw them in 2019. Our ministers, John Mark and his wife, are doing a marvelous work in the midst of a horrible situation. The picture in the header is from a recent Bible School they held and they are serving chicken soup. In addition, you have to remember, the goal of this orphanage is to train up children who’ll be equipped to go into the 7 spheres of society in that nation to transform it under a canopy of continual prayer.
Where did that vision come from? It came through the 1Church1Day strategy which led to the launch of Mt Horeb Prayer Center in 2010. The orphanage was birthed out of the house of prayer in 2016. So, this just isn’t any orphanage. It’s an extension of our vision and assignment. Why in years past, John Mark even took this strategy to the underground Church in Indonesia as well.
It is the love of Christ that gives John Mark and his family the courage and grace to minister in the midst of such a challenging situation. They set a beautiful example of James 1:27.
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
That is whom our heavenly Father has connected us to for His purpose. John Mark is like a son in the LORD. They are family. For those of you who have partnered with us know that they pray for you every day at 7pm. Words fail to capture the depth of their gratitude. Brenda and I would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks as well.
We invite you to prayerfully consider if it would please our heavenly Father for you to ally with us with those who are persecuted, you can do so here. Know that in addition to the orphans we also are supporting 40 refugees some of which are widows as well.
