Israel Serves as a Sign of the Time Line We are On Today! The book of Joel reveals that we are in the times of the Day of the LORD. The Church and Israel have a role to play and a destiny to fulfill.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-2 speaks of the Day of the LORD. It begins saying, “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
When you think of time, think of a time line. When you think of seasons, think of a cycle (thanks Troy Brewer for that insight). The very situation we find the world in today initiated by the Hamas’ demonic attack on Israel on the last day of the Feasts of Tabernacles in and of itself serves as a sign of the time we are in.
If we let the scripture interpret scripture. We’ll discover how Israel serves as a sign of this time. This provides the context for the role the Church is to play as well as the role God has planned for Israel. Many are fearful for their own safety while I’m captured by my heavenly Father’s longing for Israel to be saved (Romans 11:1).
Understanding the time that we live in impacts each of us personally and corporately. It impacts us as a citizen of the nation we reside in, as well as reminding us that we are citizens of a heavenly kingdom. 2 Peter 3:9 reveals even more of God’s heart. It says:
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Therefore, the question is, how ought we to pray. The last 90 seconds of this video reveals that.
