Why Have You Been so Silent Tim?

Why Have You Been so Silent Tim? 1 Thessalonians 2:18 gives some insight.  The apostle Paul writes saying, “… we wanted to come to you—even I, Paul, time and again—but Satan hindered us.”

Strong’s reveals that the Greek word, g1465, egkopto, translated hindered, means “to cut into, impede, or to detain. ”  Three times that word is translated hindered and once it is translated “be tedious.” Tedious describes well the personnel and technical challenges I’ve run into over the last two and a half months as I’ve sought to finish the KLI Field Manual Series, and then to overhaul our communication platforms and strategy.

Recently, I’ve had a tedious time working with two vendors who misrepresented their services and skills, so they were unable to deliver what they said they would when they said they would.  That’s led to a two-month delay in our rollout plan.

Let me turn this into a teaching moment to highlight a kingdom value we have regarding integrity.  This image below is from KLI’s list of values.

God Watches Over His Word to Perform It

Ezekiel 12:5 and 12:28 reveal that God watches over His word to perform it. In Psalm 15, we find the character of those whom God describes can abide in His presence.  In verse 4, we find it speaks of a man, “… who swears to his own hurt and does not change.” As I understood it, in Hebraic culture, it described a man who kept his word, even if it cost him.

Integrity causes one to do what they say, and to say what they do.  I wanted to bring this to our attention to call us all up to God’s standard.  While I am unsure of these two vendors’ moral worldview, I can say that over the decades, I’ve worked with many in business who claimed to be Christian, and many ministers who did not watch over their words to perform them.

It’s the sad state of much of the Church.  But I want to stir our pure minds up in the way of remembrance.  It is my hope and prayer that we’d be a people of integrity.  That we’d walk in such a way so as to remind people of the day when a man’s handshake and their word were as good as gold. In the kingdom, that is the way it ought to be.

It is true, I have been hindered, but certainly not stopped.  Check this out.

Revival at the Farm & KBI

Revival at the Farm was put on by a business owner and a host of men and their wives from the building trades.  This came together in just a few weeks. Charlene is behind the scenes coaching these guys, encouraging, mentoring them.

One of Charlene’s leaders, Wendy, started the Healthcare Council, and this was their first outreach.  That’s leadership training for Wendy and discipleship and mentoring for the rest of the team, even as they served as the only ministry booth there.  They served at the altar and with water baptism as well.  Well done!

One Church One Day Reports

Then there is the work we’ve been doing with TimTaylorTraining.com and 1Church1Day.org (still under construction).  Tim Taylor Training will provide support for all of the books and training materials to come.  One Church One Day will be devoted to deploying the strategy and equipping the Church in each nation, while KLI will provide the covenantal and governmental support.

Grace Ministries International – Ron and Karen Ann are serving as ambassadors using “One
Church One Day” to mobilize churches in the greater Jefferson County area of Washington on the peninsula.  They just reported last Thursday that a new congregation had joined them.

Northwest Life Center – Troy and his team, of course, oversee the Elma House of Prayer and are also ambassadors of One Church One Day.  They just hosted their annual fundraiser, during which they raised more money for our orphanage in Myanmar.

Life Gate Church – Ron and Libby’s church is growing in Charleston, SC.  They, too, are spearheading “One Church One Day” in their community.  Join with us in praying with them for God’s favor with men, and their facility.

The Promotion & Wedding in Washington DC

We were honored to visit the Pentagon, where I opened a promotion ceremony for Danah, with the invocation.  She was promoted to Colonel.  Only 1.6% of Air Force officers ever attain that rank.  The next day, I got to officiate their wedding.  She married Matt, a newly promoted police chief near Cincinnati.

We were joined by two prominent prayer leaders from Washington, Suzanne Johnson (Governor’s Prayer Team) and Barbara Ingmire (National Day of Prayer), and we also got to see Shannon and our grandson in DC.

There’s a lot more I could say as well.  But now you know why I’ve been so quiet. I can’t wait to resolve our communication transformation and begin to crank out the books, videos and articles needed to support our assignment in Christ.

Bless you all.
