I woke up this morning at 4:30am to pray in our nation’s capitol. In a few hours Brenda and I will be joining thousands of people from across American who’ve come to our nation’s capitol to pray, confess and repent of our sins and call our nation to return to the Lord. I saw Mario Murillo’s newsletter about “The Religious Devil that Has Bewtiched so many. Luke Warm Christian Leaders. I could not agree more. Mario is calling out that which I’ve clearly stood against from the start. It is the the demonic agenda of the the Democrat Party’s platform. I’ve caught quite a bit of flack from “Christians” for being so forthright. To this day I marvel at the number of leaders who have remained silent. Some of these I’ve heard make comments like, “well I have both Republicans and Democrats in my congregation.”
Since when does that have anything to do with what God’s word says? Right is right, wrong is wrong and sin is sin and our silence now has temporal as well as eternal consequences. There is a day of reckoning: a day where we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give an account. But let me share with you what the Lord revealed to me this morning. This challenge reveals three things.
- The lack of disciples who actually know what the Bible says.
- The lack of discernment underscores the lack of prayer. Prayer is where the the anointing comes from. Matthew 25 speaks of the five wise and five foolish virgins. The five foolish did not have enough oil in their lamps so they could see in the dark.
- Finally, the lack of courage reveals the lack of God’s love as 1 John 4:18 reveals that perfect love casts out all fear.
Heavenly Father, I pray for a wave of repentance to sweep your Church starting in the pulpit. Let it sweep your Church and then this nation. I pray for real disciples who know and love Your word, love Your presence and seek your face daily and are bold to speak the truth in love.
