Praying in the Holy Spirit and with understanding was made in response to the hit piece wherein a heretic, Sean Christie, blasphemed Holy Spirit and a gift He gave in “Apostle” Tim Taylor and Krypto Currency in Heaven (See his blasphemy at the 50 second mark and his teaching about praying in the spirit starts at the 7:50 mark.) You can see my response to his blasphemy in Why I Turned this Man over to Satan.
I did not address his blasphemy of the Holy Spirit nor his partial teaching in my original response. I will use this short video below to highlight the scripture he left out.
Come to think of it, in next week’s Apostolic Perspectives with John Anderson we will examine a complementary subject as he takes a look at propaganda and how Satan’s cronies use editing the narrative they want to advance their agenda. It is the same kind of selective editing that a heretic would use to introduce a false teaching.
What is remarkable is that Jude warns us of mockers like Sean in the last days. Verse 20 reveals how the LORD would have us respond to people like him. Actually, I find it a more than a little interesting that he mocks the very thing the scripture encourages us to do when dealing with a person like him. It is key to keeping us in the love of God.
Jude 1:16-23
16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. 17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
Maintain Your Life with God
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
