Last night my wife and I both had dreams. It’s the first time in 36 years of marriage where God gave us both dreams on the same night which were connected to the same theme. In this case, it connects what God is doing in the church and in the world with what God is doing in His house of prayer for all nations, Israel and Jerusalem. It is incredible.
It’s a sign that God is opening up the Highway of Holiness which leads back to Mount Zion.
Isaiah 35:8-10 says, “A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray. No lion shall be there, Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; It shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there, And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
My Notes & Scriptures
Brenda’s Dream
Brenda saw a house, plain outside, opulent on the inside. Someone was trying to travel a certain way and she told them, no, you cannot go that way. Then she discovered this old way which had been closed for ages is now open. She also described how she needed to go to the bathroom and saw there was an outdoor entrance for the servant(s). It was an old and narrow doorway. Then she described a property being built where all of the houses were “compact” together.
First, it reminded me of Jeremiah 18:15 which says,
“Because My people have forgotten Me, They have burned incense to worthless idols.
And they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways, From the ancient paths, To walk in pathways and not on a highway,
The new way is actually the ancient highway.
Isaiah 35:8-10 says,
“A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
No lion shall be there,
Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;
It shall not be found there.
But the redeemed shall walk there,
And the ransomed of the LORD shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
The narrow opening for the servants reminded me of:
Matthew 7:13-14
3 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Then, when she described the city as “compact” together, it caused me to think of Psalm 122. She said, in her dream she thought the same but she had not said anything to me about that yet.
Psalms 122
The Joy of Going to the House of the LORD
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go into the house of the LORD.”
Our feet have been standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem!
Jerusalem is built
As a city that is compact together,
Where the tribes go up,
The tribes of the LORD,
To the Testimony of Israel,
To give thanks to the `11name of the LORD.
For thrones are set there for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Peace be within your walls,
Prosperity within your palaces.”
For the sake of my brethren and companions,
I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
Because of the house of the LORD our God
I will seek your good.
Tim’s Dream
The dream I had was regarding a fire in a house/building I was in. We knew there was a fire, in fact, some died in the fire. I was in the building. I had no fear even though we were discussing the fire. Even noting how some died. Then the next picture I remember vividly seeing a block excavated, some piles of rubble waiting to be hauled off and for the building of the block homes to begin. I knew in the dream, our house was part of that new building project. Again, no fear, anxiety etc…. Just a knowing and peace. Here are some of the scriptures that come to mind.
John 14:2-3
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Revelation 21:9-10
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Revelation 21:22-27 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Isaiah 4:3-6
And it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem. When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.
